For our homeschool & charter families

Ways to Pay

Many AWI families homeschool and pay through charter school funds. Here's how it works, laid out clearly in one place.

Charter school funding

Classes offered to charter school students are non-sectarian. Using charter funds is simple:

  1. 1

    Enroll in the class

Sign up for the class you want through our registration portal, just like any family. You won’t be charged out-of-pocket if we receive your PO in time.

  2. 2

Submit your PO to your charter

Send your purchase order to your charter school as soon as possible, listing AWI as the vendor.

  3. 3

    We credit your account

Once your charter sends us the PO, we credit your account so you’re not charged out-of-pocket.

Good to know

  • • Charter funds are not accepted for summer programs or overnights, so those are out of pocket.
  • • Purchase orders are due Aug 15 (Fall) and Dec 15 (Spring). Unpaid balances are charged to the card on file.
  • • You’ll only be charged out-of-pocket if we don’t receive your PO by the enrollment deadline.

Paying out of pocket

Payments are made securely online. A $25/family annual registration fee is included in your registration and covers the whole family for the year. Need a payment plan? Email office@awicommunity.org to arrange installments.

Scholarships

We believe cost shouldn’t keep a child from nature. Families may qualify for 25%–75% scholarships depending on need and available funds. Since launching in 2020, we’ve funded over $5,000 in scholarships.
