Who qualifies

• ✅ Household annual income meets our income guidelines
• ✅ A homeschooler whose charter school doesn’t fund the class, or not enrolled in a public charter school
• ✅ A referral letter is required to apply
• ✅ Reside near the program location (exceptions for overnight programs)

Please note: AWI is not responsible for transportation to programs.

How to apply

1. 1. Submit the scholarship application

   Tell us about your family's need and the program you'd like to join.

2. 2. Include your referral letter

   A referral helps us understand your situation.

3. 3. Receive your award

   If accepted, you'll be offered a partial scholarship — the percentage varies by need and available funds.

Fund a student

Your gift sends a child into nature who might never have had the chance. You can give directly to our scholarship fund, or become a recurring scholarship donor.
