A 4–5 year journey for ages 5–13, pairing young people with mentors for field adventures, arts, culinary arts, and land stewardship — growing capable, caring stewards over time.
Ages 5–8
JR Mentorship
Meets monthly
Younger mentees build foundational skills and a love of the outdoors through guided adventures.
Ages 9–13+
Leadership Mentorship
Frequency varies
Older mentees take on real leadership — planning, guiding, and serving alongside their mentors.

How to join
Mentorship is a deeper commitment, so students must complete one full year in AWI group classes before becoming eligible. New to AWI? Start with a class, then talk to us about mentorship.
